Safin was and still is considered one of the top talented players on tour, but his extra-tennis live made him slip of the first ranked players on tour. His huge serve and strong groundstrokes make him a difficult opponent for anyone, but he sometimes seems that he does not want to bother winning, and just wants to participate. Haase is young and talented, also has an excellent serve and performs decent from the back of the court.Does not have very much variation in his game, and his second serve is quite weak comparative with his first one.
